Extractions
When a tooth is not restorable, it must be extracted or a deeper infection can occur; these can result in pain, foul odor, or even hospitalization if not managed.
Before touching the tooth, we anesthetize the tooth to ensure comfort and a pain-free procedure.
After the tooth is extracted, sutures are typically placed to help with healing. These will later be removed and we will view the area to ensure healing is occurring.
Prior to having a tooth extracted, a plan is developed to the tooth replaced before it is taken out. Missing teeth can be replaced with a variety of options, talk to your doctor about what is most appropriate for your smile.
